Tucked away past a lush garden, and through the barrel cellar, the Prager tasting room is like a secret hideaway - rustic and casual. Currently, Prager makes two table wines and six different ports. Port is still the most important wine, and since the Pragers have spent a lot of time locating vineyards that produce intensely flavored grapes, the concentration is on emphasizing the fruit in every bottle they produce. In the tasting room, they talk about port and its origins, different classifications of ports and like to dispel ancient myths, introducing port as a beverage to be enjoyed with a meal in comfortable company.
